The Science Behind Our Powerhouse Serum
10% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): A true multi-tasking hero, Niacinamide is one of the most well-researched ingredients in skincare. At a potent 10% concentration, it works to:
- Visibly Brighten Skin Tone: Clinical studies have shown that Niacinamide can significantly reduce hyperpigmentation, leading to a more even and radiant complexion [1]. It works by inhibiting the transfer of pigment within skin cells, helping to fade the appearance of dark spots and post-acne marks.
- Refine the Appearance of Pores: Research indicates that topical Niacinamide can improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of pores [2]. It helps to fortify the pore lining, which prevents debris from getting trapped and causing them to stretch.
- Balance Oil Production: For those with oily skin, Niacinamide has been shown to reduce the rate of sebum (oil) production. Studies using a 2% concentration found a significant lowering of sebum excretion rates, leading to a more balanced, less shiny complexion [3].
1% Zinc PCA: To enhance the effects of Niacinamide, we've included 1% Zinc PCA. This salt of Zinc is known for its ability to further help control excess sebum, making it the perfect partner for tackling the challenges of oily and blemish-prone skin [4].
Why it works: This formula combines two powerful, clinically-backed ingredients to create a targeted solution for common skin concerns. It delivers visible results without compromising your skin barrier, and studies have confirmed that Niacinamide is well-tolerated at concentrations up to 10% [5].
